Types of paintwork scratch.
TYPE A is a deep scratch which has gone through the clear coat into the paint layers
underneath. This type of scratch will require filling followed by painting and re
lacquering.
TYPE B is a shallow scratch which is confined to the clear coat layer only. Normally these type of scratches can be removed or at least greatly improved by the use of an abrasive polish. Please don’t be tempted to deal with this type of scratch yourself and seek professional advice.
